Huayuan village has been awarded the honorary titles of "national advanced unit of building spiritual civilization", "national model village", "national civilized village", "China's top ten famous villages", "national greening model unit", "China's top ten well-off villages", "China's tourism characteristic villages", "China's happy village", "provincial comprehensive well-off construction demonstration village", "the first Zhejiang charm new countryside" and so on .
Huayuan village is a national training base for village officials and A-level learning and investigation point for new rural construction. It is one of the first batch of characteristic tourism villages and the first batch of rural eco-tourism experimental demonstration areas in Zhejiang Province. It is praised as "the model of rural modernization in Zhejiang" and "the first village in Zhejiang" by the superior leaders.
On November 21, 2019, Huayuan village, Nanma Town, Dongyang City, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province was selected as the third batch of national "anti pornography and anti illegal" grassroots demonstration sites.
On December 24, 2019, it was selected into the list of national rural governance demonstration villages.
In May 2020, it will be included in the list of the second batch of Zhejiang literary and artistic creation bases.
In June 2020, it will be selected into the list of the second batch of national key rural tourism villages to be recommended.
In July 2020, it will be selected into the second batch of national key Rural Tourism Villages list published by the Ministry of culture and tourism.

The economy of Huayuan village is developed and the villagers are rich. There are 176 household, joint and private enterprises in the village, among which Huayuan Group is a national enterprise group. The main industries of Huayuan village include medicine and chemical industry, real estate development, building materials, textile and clothing, ham food, electronic equipment, foreign trade and export, wood, hospital, commerce, tourism and leisure, education, etc. In 2006, the sales revenue of the whole village was 3.35 billion yuan, and the per capita income of villagers was 19260 yuan.
