Huangdaxian ancient temple is located in the northwest of Qishi Town, Dongguan City, close to jinxiaoyiling beside Dongjiang River. It was built in 1873, the 12th year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty, and was initially named huangxianweng temple.

Introduction to the park

It was rebuilt twice in 1984 and 1997, and expanded into Wong Tai Sin Park in 2005. With an area of 130000 square meters, the park is famous for its unique stone, luxuriant forest, cool wind and quiet scenery. During the "Huang Da Xian's birthday" period from July 15 to 25 of the lunar calendar, pilgrims gather at temple fairs, forming a traditional folk cultural festival. Huangdaxian ancient temple is a two-way ancient building, which stands on the cliff of the river bank where huangrunfu throws into the river, with extraordinary momentum. Walking out of Huangdaxian ancient temple, you can climb the jinxiaoyishan from the stone path beside the stone archway. The mountain is just a small hill, but "the mountain is not high, there are immortals is the name", it is precisely because of the great name of Huang Daxian, the little golden school chair mountain also has some aura. From the stone path, you can reach the rest Pavilion. From the rest Pavilion, you can climb up to the top of the mountain. You can see a "Wenchang Pavilion" standing on the top of the mountain. On the Wenchang Pavilion, you can have a panoramic view of Qishi.
