Xiashan sea view corridor

Xiashan sea view corridor is located in the east coast of Xiashan District, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, with a total length of about 1.7 km, starting from Haidian Road in the South and Haiyang Road in the north. According to its current terrain, it is divided into three districts (860 m in the south, 150 m in the middle and 690 m in the North), with a total area of 156 ha (6.38 HA in the south, 3.5 HA in the middle and 5.12 HA in the North).

Zhanjiang sea view corridor is one of the eight scenic spots in Zhanjiang. The corridor is divided into two sections: Chikan Jinshawan sea view corridor and Xiashan sea view corridor.

The Southern District is relatively long and narrow, with Bauhinia Square in the middle. The Garden Road on both wings has a good harvest, and it can bend freely. Especially the Garden Road on the north wing has a curve and straight contrast. At the same time, the node connection is flexible, and the small space can be retracted appropriately.

There are many kinds of greening in the South District, with the combination of groups. There are three distinct layers of trees, shrubs and ground covers, 28 kinds of flowers and trees, 21005 plants in total, and 23490 square meters of turf.

The central area has a broad terrain, which is divided into East and west sides (13149 square meters in the East and 32000 square meters in the West). In the East, it is named "guanhaitai". There are garden roads and the whole area is dominated by grassland. The open lawn in the west is square, with two rows of oil palm on three sides.

There are 11263 plants and 45149 square meters of turf.

In the north area, "conch square" is the main area, and different palm plants are planted. There are 28 kinds of flowers and trees, 24181 plants and 9600 square meters of turf.

As a whole, the south, central and North districts have a slender image. The central district drives the South and North wings, with a total hard bottom pavement area of 100000 square meters, presenting a unique coastal city landscape of southern scenery.

The project started on August 1, 1999 and was completed on November 5.

The huge passenger ship "Sea city" stopping on the sea viewing corridor of Xiashan is also a big landscape. The captain is 160 meters long and nearly 20 meters high. Standing on the top of the boat, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful bay and the city.

Sculpture

There are two bronze sculptures named "training sharks" and "playing crabs" in Xiashan sea view corridor. They are created by Chen Rijun, a famous sculptor in our city. The sculptures show the sea life in Zhanjiang.

Shark training

"Taming the shark" adopts a semi abstract form of expression. Four characters ride on the shark, and the shark and human form three parabola, especially like the waves of the sea, showing the scene of human fighting with nature.

Play crab

"Playing with crabs" describes the scene of Haizi catching crabs. Two naked Haizi are bent down and concentrate on tracking a big crab. The round base gives people a sense of rotation. This is a work with Zhanjiang characteristics and full of seafood.
