Yao Lake

Yao Lake is located in Machu Town, high tech Zone, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is the largest inland natural lake in Nanchang area. The existing water surface is 15.25 square kilometers, which is the largest natural lake in Nanchang area. It is connected with the developed Qingshan Lake and Aixi Lake in Nanchang city. Changwan highway runs through the center of the lake and Fuzhou Yinchuan Expressway (G70) runs along the east side of the lake.

Yao Lake is located in the high tech Zone of Nanchang city. The surface of Yao Lake is rectangular. From south to north, it is divided into Shangyao lake, Zhongyao lake and Xiayao lake. The lake basin is flat, the lake surface is open, and the clear water is full of water. In spring and summer, the lotus flowers are blooming and the fish are playing with fragrance in the water. In autumn, tens of thousands of rare migratory birds roam the lake, and the scene of warblers singing and swallows dancing is very beautiful.

Eight sceneries along the Yao Lake: the Ming Dynasty architecture Feimei pagoda, Liucheng temple, Daqing ancient temple, Yangtze River ancient ferry, Longqiao living water, ershengmingdeng, Houfu Yuge, eight people Baozhang, and the ancient cultural sites from the Neolithic Age to the Shang and Zhou dynasties in xipishan and lvmenggang, forming a unique Yao Lake landscape (with historical allusions and legends).

In the process of building a garden city, Nanchang people suddenly find that this city has a unique hydrophilic advantage. However, the water surface of Yao Lake is equal to the total area of eight Lakes (southeast and northwest lakes plus Xianshi lake, Qingshan Lake, Aixi Lake and Xiang Lake) inside and outside Nanchang city. Even the vast west lake in Hangzhou is only half the size of Yao Lake.

In 2018, in order to build a high-tech culture, Yaohu study was built on the Bank of Yaohu River, which is a good place for literary youth. The beach scenery of Yao Lake is like a "beach". It is also known as the back garden in the east of Nanchang and the "Maldives" in Nanchang.

Yao Lake has a stable water level and an annual average depth of 15 meters. Its water quality is excellent with a pH value of 6.5. It is rich in resources, with 75% coverage of aquatic plants and a wide variety of snails and mussels. The eight sceneries of Yao Lake include the Yangtze River ancient ferry, Liucheng evening drum, Houpu Fishing Song, Longqiao live water, ershengshendeng, Wanxi Qiaomu, Daxiong Fancha and Puji morning bell. The famous pagoda of Ming Dynasty is not among the eight sceneries, but also Nanchang The scenic spots of Yao Lake make people forget to return. The infrastructure is perfect, the transportation is convenient, and the communication is convenient. In the north, there is the South Branch of Jiangxi Province, which is directly connected to Poyang Lake.
