Former site of Danish Consulate
Located at 28 Guantao Road, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, built in 1923, the building has simple facade, rich roof changes, large slope roof and folding roof coexist, with curved tiger window on the top of the slope, which is a common treatment method in German architecture. The corner of the house is made with arched window, and the second floor window is decorated with columns.

Danish East Asia company is the most famous Danish enterprise in modern China, commonly known as Baolong company in China. Founded by Anderson, the East Asian company was founded in Copenhagen in 1897. Qingdao Baolong foreign company was established in 1922. It was initially located in the HSBC Bank on Guantao road. In 1925, it moved to the Danish Consulate at 28 Guantao road. After the first World War, Baolong foreign company occupied an important import and export market in Qingdao. The main export products were agricultural and sideline products from Jiaodong Peninsula and Shandong inland. The main import commodities were steel equipment, rice, flour, wood, cotton, sacks, rubber, pepper and old newspapers. In 1929, the prince of Denmark traveled to the Far East on the new freighter Fionia. During his stay in Qingdao, he visited Baolong. The manager of Qingdao Baolong foreign company is Zhao Hengsheng, a Dane. He has also been the consul of the kingdom of Denmark in Qingdao for a long time. It's a youth hostel now. It used to be a police station.
