In 1953, the government changed Luther hall into a granary. In 1958, it was occupied by Zhengxing middle school. In 1984, with the approval of Chongqing municipal government, Zhengxing middle school returned Lude hall to the church. In 1989, it was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit. At present, it is the activity center of Bishan Catholic Patriotic Association and more than 4000 Catholic believers in the whole county. It holds grand Christmas and Easter every year, and worships every Sunday. Now it is an important scenic spot of Jintang lake.

Just when we were confused, a touch of sunlight just hit a pillar. We also found a flaw. At this time, the pillar still has a shadow. Compared with this, other stone pillars that can't get sunlight still don't leave a shadow on the ground. Seeing this, we can't help but wonder.

"This design is very clever. The designer must have considered the location of the columns, and then used the unique lighting design." Zhang Shihui, member of the United Front Work Committee of Zhengxing Town, told us.

After that, we experienced the effect of "transmitting sound from thousands of miles" in the lobby. We stood at the two ends of the church tens of meters apart, and then spoke in our usual tone. As a result, we could hear each other very clearly, just like face-to-face.

Most of us know this principle - the arc dome is designed to gather sound. Nowadays, many grand theaters and cinemas have adopted this kind of design scheme.
