Balahu scenic area (urban canyon) - located in the center of the main city of Qianjiang, zhoubai and Zhengyang, the new city, "balahu" Tujia meaning "Canyon" represents the landscape and culture of Qianjiang. "The Grand Canyon of the city. The peak on both sides of the canyon is more than 1100 meters above sea level, belonging to karst landform. In December 2016, Chongqing Qianjiang balahu scenic spot was approved as a national 4A scenic spot.

"Balahu" is the image symbol of Qianjiang River in Chongqing, which represents the landscape and culture of Qianjiang River. It is a kind of humanistic idea, a way of life and a tourism image. It is a humanized and materialized aggregation of all beauties, mysteries and humanities.

Qianjiang "balahu", known as the first Canyon city in Asia, is the only city tourism brand named after Tujia language in China. Because of its good applicability, being a hot topic, the expression of "balahu" is cute, mysterious and colloquial, and its literal translation can be used internationally, it has become the "keyword" of Chongqing Qianjiang tourism theme slogan "mysterious balahu, charming Apengjiang".

Qianjiang "balahu" has a high degree of natural integration and great momentum. It is just like a green silk tapestry that combines the old city with the new city, and draws a real ink painting of "the city is the scene, the scene is the city". The valley is 80-100 meters wide, with an average depth of 200 meters and a maximum drop of 500 meters; the cliffs of the canyon are upright, and most of them are at right angles to the horizon. When you walk on the 808 meter long aerial trestle Road, especially the transparent glass trestle road suspended at 500 meters, you will feel "I want to fly". The undulating peaks on both sides show the typical karst landform of Southwest China. There are more than 40 unique conglomerate caves with high quality, which are rare in the world. The constant temperature in the cave is 18 ℃ all the year round.

The ecological base map of the whole Canyon is good, with Wuling mountain stone forest at the source, Bamianshan mountain dense forest, dansha tender and Luzhi legacy; Guanyin stone carvings, hongtuwan laowujidong Paleolithic site, dinosaur fossils, Danxing ancient city, shichenggu County, river valley scenery, Danxia landform, Wenfeng tower, Nanhai weir of the Western "red flag canal" and reclining Buddha on the two sides.

Self driving from Chongqing to Qianjiang: Chongqing Hunan Expressway, Yanjiang expressway, and Funan section of the Third Ring Expressway are all direct, about 3 hours' drive, via Nanchuan, Wulong and Pengshui. 4.
