Bian's former residence

Bian was one of the eight major commercial enterprises in Modern Tianjin. He was originally from Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, he moved to Tianjin and opened longshun Yangbu store, Longchang seafood store and longshunrong drugstore. Up to now, "longshunrong" is still an important brand of traditional Chinese medicine series in Tianjin.

Bianjia is one of the eight famous families in Tianjin. People in Tianjin commonly call it "bianjia of Xiangci", or "bianjia of Longfu" and "bianjia of longshunrong" under the name of their business name. The building is the residence of Bian Zhaoxin, a descendant of Bian family. Bian Zhaoxin was the manager of Tianjin Branch of central bank and invested in industry and commerce.

The building reaches Hebei Road in the East, Machang road in the south, Guilin road in the West and munan road in the north. With a construction area of 3280 square meters, it is a four story building of brick and wood structure, with fair faced brick walls, gently sloping tile roof, eaves at the top, protruding on both sides of the facade, and a square three story balcony. There is a row of semicircular curve balcony in the middle of the second floor. There are rope type columns on both sides of the main door of the balcony, and European style mountain flowers on the upper part. The whole building has bright lines, solemn and simple, with a typical Spanish architectural style. The building is in good condition.

The whole building is a small western style building with good condition and characteristics, which should be protected.
