Dongli Lake Hot Spring Resort covers an area of 22.01 square kilometers, including 8 square kilometers (12000 mu) of water area, 12 kilometers of lakeshore perimeter, and 22 million cubic meters of water capacity. It is known as "a small sea of fresh water", which is 1.5 times of Hangzhou West Lake.

In January 2016, the National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of environmental protection planned to identify Dongli Lake scenic spot in Tianjin as a national ecotourism demonstration area.

Introduction

Dongli Lake is one of the eight tourist attractions and seven nature reserves in Tianjin. It is designated as the tourism resort area of Binhai New Area by the municipal government. It is located in the east of Tianjin, 24 kilometers away from the city center, 30 kilometers away from Tianjin port, 19 kilometers away from Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone, 10 kilometers away from the exit of Jingjintang expressway, 12.5 kilometers away from Tianjin Binhai International Airport, and 12.5 kilometers away from Tianjin International Golf Club It is 7.5km away from the entrance and exit of Beijing Tianjin Expressway and 2.5km away from the entrance and exit of Beijing Tianjin Expressway. Dongli Lake used to be a reservoir, later turned into a tourist area, famous for its vast water surface and rich geothermal resources. It is rich in geothermal resources. It is the source of the northern China's geothermal zone. Geothermal water is good for human health and can strengthen the body. Therefore, the hot spring hotel beside the lake has emerged as the times require. In addition, the resort also has water flying, water cable bridge, water cabin, speedboat, motorboat and other recreational projects, and in winter there are ice sails, ice carts, sleds and other ice sports.

The lake is rich in more than 20 kinds of aquatic products, such as silver carp, barracuda, crucian carp, soft shelled turtle, river crab and shrimp. Every year, more than 20000 wild birds play on the lake and breed by the lake. At present, there are pollution-free vegetable fruit base, special aquatic products breeding base, and Diyuan brand mineral water plant with an annual output of 5000 tons.
