Guangxiao church is an important Christian Church in Guangzhou, China. It is located at 29 Guangxiao Road, Yuexiu District. It was built from 1921 to 1924. It was invested and built by the Chinese Gang Jishen self-care Missionary Association (axiom Society), which was organized by overseas Chinese Christians in the United States. Its director general, Rev. Tan WoXin (1888-1986), planned the construction of the church.
It is 26.7 meters high, 35 meters long and 23 meters wide, and can accommodate more than 1200 people. It is one of the largest churches in Guangzhou. The church later joined the Guangdong Association of the Chinese Christian Church. He has also run Zhengguang primary school and kindergarten. After 1958, Zhonghua church, Xicun church, Renji church and Haizhu church were incorporated into the church. In the cultural revolution of 1966, Guangxiao hall was closed. After 1984, the provincial and municipal Christian churches worked here. In 1989, the former director of the church, Rev. Weng Ruiguang of Hong Kong, donated HK $1 million on behalf of the Hong Kong Christian Church for maintenance. Religious activities resumed in 1991.
