About the park

Guangzhou Pearl River Park is a high-grade park integrating viewing, recreation, culture and leisure. The garden is covered with green grass, decorated with sculptures and stones. The stream flows through the bridge and around the path. The flowers and trees of southern China move in the wind of the river, and the fragrance of flowers comes with the breeze. It is one of the three key parks in Guangzhou new city.

The spatial layout of the Pearl River Park is different from other parks we have visited. It has no obvious spatial axis. Its garden road is arranged in a circular spatial sequence and connects various scenic spots with garden road. There is a "fast green lake" in the garden. It is not an open water area. It is a natural and smooth curve. It is built by the lake and combined with the dense forest. It gives people a profound and quiet feeling. Garden in garden is a major feature of Lingnan Garden, and Pearl River Park is also the spatial layout of garden in garden. Pearl River Park is mainly divided into six main scenic areas, including scenic forest area, shade plant area, osmanthus garden, magnolia garden, palm garden and lakeside area. There are many pavilions in the park, and they are all of Lingnan style, but their modeling personalities are different, including wooden structure and concrete structure. The pavilions and porches of Mulan garden are blue topped and white pillars, which look light and fresh. Baozhu tower is a peak sightseeing building, which makes it one of the main scenic spots in the garden and the highest point of the whole courtyard. However, due to the dense number of trees, you can't see any scenic spots in the garden from the upstairs.

The plant configuration is mainly based on the construction of scenic forest. The scenic forest area is located in the highest mountain area of the park, and is mainly planted with mixed forest. Various planting methods and different tree species are used to reflect different seasons and flowering periods, forming a scenic spot with rich plant colors and distinct levels. Palm is the main tall tree in the south, which can be planted alone, in pairs or in clusters. Palm park has planted all kinds of palms in the form of forest. Magnolia, as a northern tree species, is rarely planted in the south. There are many Magnolia varieties in the magnolia garden in the Pearl River Park.

There are also plant designs in the garden. Entering from the main gate, the most eye-catching one is the plant landscape on the lawn hillside of the main gate. A stone vase is connected with four-color plant belts. The flowers seem to flow out of the stone vase. It seems to be a magic vase of flowers and a river of flowers, which is especially interesting. There are several small scenic spots in the west of the Pearl River Park, which are also very interesting. However, because it is too far from the main entrance, few people go there. This is a pity of the Pearl River Park. There are new scenic spots in the Pearl River Park, such as vine garden and walk road, which are expected to be completed by the end of September 2017.
