Monkey Mountain

Located in the northern mountainous area of Dayugou Town, Gongyi City, Henan Province. It is divided into two mountains, the East and the west, which are collectively called Houshan. It is roughly north-south, with an altitude of 593 meters and 481 meters respectively. "Monkey mountain is 20 miles southeast of the county (old city), and the mountain is as high as a monkey," so it is named.

1. Shengli Houshan, located 40 kilometers southwest of Chaoyang City, is the first peak of Shengli township. Looking from the west of monkey mountain, monkey mountain is like a pyramid. Why it is called monkey mountain is unknown. Because the monkey mountain is in the northeast corner of Shengli Township, which is five or six kilometers away from the highway, few people climb it. The main peak of monkey mountain is 994.7 meters above sea level. To the north of Houshan is muchengzi Township, to the south is Shengli Township, and to the East is beisijiazi township.
