Tianmen pass

Tianmen pass, also known as Guimen pass. In the east of Yulin City and Beiliu county at the junction of Tianmen Mountain. Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, it has been an important channel from the Central Plains to Qin, Lian, Lei, Qiong and Jiaozhi. When many famous people were demoted to Hainan Island, they passed through here and wrote poems. Shen Quanqi, the poet of Tang Dynasty, Li Deyu, the prime minister, and Su Dongpo, the scholar of Song Dynasty, all wrote poems about "ghost gate".

With the singing of literati and the spread of stories about demoted officials, Guimen pass has become a famous pass. According to archaeologists, Guimenguan was renamed "Guimenguan", "Guimenguan", "Kuixing", "Tianmenguan" and "guimingguan" in Xuande period of Ming Dynasty.

The three characters "Tianmenguan" on the stone wall were carved in 1428, 559 years ago.

The mountain peaks are towering and close to Tianmen pass, forming a key pass. It is an important traffic road in ancient and modern times. Now the newly built Yulin Beiliu asphalt highway passes through here, which is an important gap connecting Wuzhou, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Beihai and Hepu.

Long history

Tianmen pass has a long history. In the 17th year of Jianwu (AD 41), Fubo General Ma Yuan of the Eastern Han Dynasty led more than 20000 soldiers to fight for Linyi. After passing through this pass, a monument was erected. The poet Wen Tingyun of the Tang Dynasty praised Ma Yuan's poem: "Han Dynasty ordered ban Nanhai, barbaric soldiers avoided Yulin, Tianya pillar boundary, proud of foreign tribute, lost the intention of treacherous officials, who clearly reported the country's heart, a coffin of loyal and brave bones, wandering in smoke."

Yang Yan, the Prime Minister of dezongjian in the Tang Dynasty (781), was demoted as Sima of Yazhou. When passing the Tianmen pass, he wrote a poem and said, "once you go ten thousand miles, you will never return a thousand. Where is Yazhou? Living through the gate of hell. " Shen Quanqi, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, was demoted to write the poem "enter the gate of ghosts" which reads: "pass on miaojiang road in the past, and now come to the gate of ghosts. No one is old on the land, but a few people return it. Since farewell to Beijing Road, I have lost my temples and face. Overnight in the sand, morning on the same road, Ma Wei Qianren Valley, boat Wan Chong Bay. If you ask me where I'm going to vote, you'll find a hundred barbarians in the southwest. " Su Dongpo, a great writer and poet of the Song Dynasty, was demoted to Lingnan and was pardoned to return to the imperial court. After passing this pass, he wrote a poem "Ci Yun Wang Yulin": "I can't bear to give up on the late journey, but I turn my hands in the spring mud on the sea; the envoys of the Han Dynasty are empty, so Hou Gua is decadent. It's not destiny to have a difficult life. I'll go to the end of my life to do my Lord's favor. I'll wipe you away by mistake. I'd rather hear the old crane and ride the porch. Xu Xiake of the Ming Dynasty wrote in his diary of a journey to the west of Guangdong: "in Beiliu County, the West ten li is Guimen pass, and the East ten li is goulou mountain. The two stone mountain branches are towering and beautiful, and the East and the West face each other, while Guimen bumps on the cliff and the valley, with two peaks. Passing by, it is better than goulou. It's strange to see you from the north of Henglin. You don't know it's a ghost gate. When you arrive at the county, you realize that you have entered from the southeast, so you can't pass it. It's hate. "
