A student dormitory donated by a group of Lingnan University Alumni such as Mo gansheng and Lin Zhihao. It was completed in 1924. Later, it was named "Rongguang hall" in memory of Dr. Zhong Rongguang, the first Chinese President of Lingnan University. It is now a guest house and a western restaurant.

Rongguang hall was originally a four storey (including basement) building, and one floor was added in the 1970s.

Rebuild

After Henan Kangle was chosen as the permanent site of Lingnan University in 1904, most of the buildings were donated by Westerners in the early stage. Zhong Shi Rongguang believed that Chinese education should also be undertaken by Chinese people. Therefore, in the early years of the Republic of China, he called on overseas Chinese to donate money to build the school In 1924, it was completed and named Rongguang hall as a memorial. With the establishment of Lingnan (University) college and the rapid development of its studies, alumni and scholars have not been able to stay for a long time. In view of this, the board of directors proposed to rebuild Rongguang hall a year ago, and transformed it into a hotel to cooperate with Lingnan hall. The meeting was supported by the enthusiastic alumni.
