Zhuoxi spring is located in Jinan Changqing District Wande town Lingyan Temple scenic spot under the cliff of the east side of thousand Buddha Hall, where the spring water competing flow, the ancient cypress towering, many inscriptions, is one of the famous Lingyan eight.

It is said that the eminent monk used his stick to poke out the spring. The water gushes out from the cave at the lower part of the cliff and flows along the stone canal. It flows into the mirror pool with Baihe and Shuanghe springs. Beside the springs, the rock is engraved with a poem about zhuoxiquan and Yongquan written by Emperor Qianlong.

The name of ancient well is one of the places of interest in Taizhou. During the reign of emperor Jingzong of Tang Dynasty (825-827), Wang Wu, a famous Sichuan monk, was the abbot of Beishan temple in Taizhou. It is said that master Wangwu used his staff to look for a spring in the backyard of the temple. After drawing a circle and fixing a point, his disciples dug a good spring. Because of the spring well, named zhuoxiquan. The well water is sweet and mellow all the year round, so Beishan temple is full of incense. Later, boss Chen of Dexing pharmaceutical hotel in Taizhou ordered people to take this well water to brew kuchen medicinal wine, which made him famous. At present, the old site of Beishan temple in the north of Taizhou city still has the remains of zhuoxiquan ancient well. On the cliff above the spring, there are three seal characters "Zhuo Xiquan" and "Tu Dan". The stone wall is engraved with the chants of zhuoxiquan by celebrities of all ages. Among them, Emperor Qianlong's poem "zhuoxiquan" is engraved: "the spring is near zhuoxi, the pavilion is quiet, and the scenery of thousands of valleys and rocks is complete.
