Xibaiyanggou

The most famous pasture in Nanshan of Urumqi is xibaiyanggou. Xibaiyanggou is 75 kilometers away from Urumqi city. It is located in the transition zone between middle and low mountain areas, with an altitude of 2100 meters and an annual rainfall of 500-600 mm.

Geography

In the West baiyanggou Valley, there are snow peaks, steep mountains, tall spruce and green grass. Under the shade of a white yurt, exquisite villas, elegant sanatorium, hotel and snack bar and other buildings, make this deep canyon more lively. At the end of xibaiyanggou, the scenery is more beautiful. In the shelter of green trees and cliff, a waterfall with a height of more than 40 meters and a width of about two meters is like Bailian hanging in the air, falling down like a silver dragon flying and roaring like a drum. At the falling place of the waterfall, the spray is splashed and the water drops are light. They are scattered on the mossy rocks and the dark green woods on both sides, just like drizzle, cool and pleasant.

Culture

Visitors can visit Kazakh herdsmen's yurts, drink mellow milk tea and horse milk, taste roast mutton, hand grazed mutton, cheese and other delicacies, and enjoy traditional folk activities such as "horse racing", "Diaoyang" and "girl chasing". You can also sing and dance in groups of three or five to enjoy your entertainment, or climb high together to enjoy the picturesque scenery. Young people who love equestrian skills can gallop on the wide lawn with their whip if they rent the horses of local Kazakh herdsmen for a little money.
