Long history

The Ming Dynasty was the heyday of Lingyan temple. According to tan Zhongyue's "Emei Tu Zhi", the temple has 48 characters and thousands of monks. There are more than ten li from the mountain gate to the back hall. The grand scale of the temple, the number of monks and the exuberance of incense are second to none in the temple of Emei Mountain. Therefore, there is a saying that "nine halls (eating fast food), ten places to burn incense, and you have to ride a horse to burn incense". The hall is overlapped with the characters, the dense forest is set off, and the danyan is emerald, showing the majestic splendor of the layers of Lingyan. "Lingyan Diecui" has become the top ten scenic spots of Emei. Liu Junze in the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947) published "Emei Jialan Ji", although "the temple word 48 heavy, monks thousands, it is extravagant to believe", but still can not help but admit: "Emei peak down, temporary palace que, stacked green, beautiful and solemn, hills supporting Wei, mountain and river dragon pan, Qiao mu Qianzhang, dense ring, I choose the first resort Lingyan." The ancient temples went through the war and the return of salary, and all of them collapsed in the 1960s. However, the natural scenery of "Lingyan reddening" remains the same. Introduction to scenic spots

Lingyan is located at the foot of the three peaks of Jinding in Emei. On the site of Lingyan temple, looking to the north, there is a natural picture of mountains overlapping. In early spring, yellow rape flowers are blooming at the foot of the mountain, and spring is rippling; the hillside is dense with leaves and branches, as if it is midsummer; the yellow leaves on the mid mountain are like autumn; the top of the mountain is covered with residual snow, as if it is still in the cold of winter. Looking at the three peaks of Mount Emei from the foot of the mountain, there are several excellent places: lianxiangba at the foot of Shandong, huideng temple at the low mountain, and ancient Delin at Bailong cave in Zhongshan. However, they are not as close and open as Lingyan site. You can have a deeper view of another wonderful and fantastic silhouette of Mount Emei, and appreciate the mutual existence of "diegang" and "Rou", "Zhuang" and "Xiu", so your mind is wandering. Zhang Yuzhi of the Ming Dynasty expressed this kind of mentality in his "tour of Lingyan Temple": Lingyan goes all the way to Qingcang, and Tanhua is fragrant after the rain.
