In February 1964, when Premier Zhou Enlai visited Pakistan, he planted Sapium sebiferum, a symbol of China Pakistan friendship. Since then, Liu Shaoqi, Li Xiannian, Yang Shangkun, Jiang Zemin, Li Peng, Wan Li, Zhu Rongji and other state leaders have also visited the "friendship tree".
