Dezhong hot spring is located in Dezhong village, Menba Township, Mozhugongka County, Lhasa City, 70 kilometers away from the county seat. The hot spring is located in a mountain depression. Behind it is Dezhong temple built along the mountain. Beside it is pugonggou, an important tributary of Lhasa River. The hot spring is known as "the first hot spring in the world".

It is located in Dezhong village, Menba Township, about 73 km northeast of Mozhugongka county. With an altitude of 4590 meters, Dezhong hot spring has a history of more than 1400 years.

Beautiful scenery, lush vegetation, fresh air, rocks and cliffs, together with the graceful larks, constitute a unique environment for tourism, medicine bath and pilgrimage. Dezhong hot spring is called "the first hot spring in the world" by many Western experts.

According to the analysis, Dezhong hot spring water contains sulfur, cold water stone, stone asphalt, tusihua, coal and other minerals that are beneficial to human body. It can treat gastric ulcer, kidney deficiency, edema, rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, body stiffness, sore, pain, scabies, ulcer, dredge meridians, regulate Qi and blood, eliminate diseases, strengthen body and lose weight.

There is a wooden bridge across the stream near the hot spring. At one end of the bridge, there is a hot spring pool for arthritis. The water temperature is up to 50 ℃. You can't soak your whole body. At the other end of the bridge, there is a spring mouth, which is surrounded by gravel to form two adjacent large and small spring ponds. The diameter of the big spring pond is 5 meters, the diameter of the small spring pond is 3 meters, and the depth of the spring is about 0.3 meters. It is also said that this is a men's and women's hot spring pool. In the middle of the two pools, there is a laundry separated by wood.

There are many bubbling water gushing at the bottom of the pool. The water surface temperature is 41 ℃ ~ 42 ℃, and the flow rate is about 50 L / s. The water is clear without peculiar smell and suitable for bathing. In the south of quantang, there is a high travertine wall with east-west trend. The wall is about 30 meters high, 120 meters long and 50 meters wide at the bottom. The bottom of travertine wall is eroded and penetrated by the river, forming a natural bridge. There is still a large crack about 0.5m wide at the ridge of travertine wall, which is the outlet of spring water. Dezhong hot spring is exposed between the valley end of deep canyon and travertine wall.

Dezhong hot spring is an ancient hot spring with a history of more than 1300 years. There are many legends about its formation. It is said that this was a dead pool. Master lianhuasheng passed by and practiced on the mountain when he saw that Fengshui was good, but he suffered from no bathing place. One day, he came to the edge of the pool and threw the "Meilong" (bronze mirror) which he carried with him into the dead pool. The dead pool became a hot spring. The handle of the "Meilong" left a hole in the mountain, and the hot spring water flowed into the Pugong ditch from the mouth of the cave, and became the flowing water. Since then, Dezhong hot spring has become a good place for people to bathe. Up to now, this hot spring still maintains its natural and primitive state.

Transportation: Dezhong hot spring is 140 km away from Lhasa. You can charter a car from Lhasa. Due to the poor road condition to Dezhong hot spring, the whole journey is gravel road, which takes about 6 hours.

Scenic spots along the way: on the way to Dezhong hot spring, you can also go to the black necked Crane, and visit the famous zhigongti temple at the intersection 7 kilometers away from the hot spring.
