Changren Temple
Located in Wangqiao street outside the north gate of Chuansha old city, it was built in the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty (1522-1566), rebuilt in the 39th year of Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty (1774), and rebuilt in the second year of Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty. Because the temple was located in Changren township of Shanghai county, it was named Changren township.
General situation
In the cultural revolution, religious activities were stopped. Since July 18, 1990, as a Buddhist monk temple, it has been open while being restored. And changed it to its current name. On May 8, 1994, monk min Ming, vice president of China Buddhist Association and Abbot of Longhua temple, and monk Zhenchan, abbot of Yufo temple, came to the temple to preside over the opening ceremony, which was attended by more than 3000 Buddhist believers.
