Chuang hang old street

Zhuangxing old street was formed in 1368. It is located in the middle of Zhuangxing Town, more than 1000 meters long. It is a well preserved Ming and Qing architectural street in Fengxian District, rich in the charm of Jiangnan Water Town. The nanqiaotang beside the old street was excavated in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. Except for the middle section, Zhuangxing old street is traversed by a new street, which is basically intact. The main buildings on the old street include the former residence of Wang family in Dongjie, Li Xueting house, the former site of Chujing temple, the old house of Diao family in Youche lane, the house of he Liuqi in huntang lane and the house of Wang family. On the city river, there are Yuxiu bridge, Bazi bridge and other ancient bridges.

Introduction to scenic spots

Zhuangxing old street was formed in 1368, winding three miles along the river, with ancient stone bridges such as Bazi bridge, Youche bridge and kuqiao lying across the Shihe River. There are many buildings on the street, such as huntang lane, Youche lane, Mingyuan lane, Shipi lane and pailou lane. Nanqiaotang river runs through the whole old street, and its overall style is well preserved. Its long history and culture and simple rural folk customs are just like a painting of water and ink in Jiangnan.
