China International Students Museum

Foreign educated Chinese museum is established under the guidance of the Organization Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee. So far, it is the only professional humanities Museum in China with the main characteristics of "inheriting the culture of foreign students and promoting the spirit of foreign students".

Development history

Since its opening more than ten years ago, the museum has been dedicated to collecting, researching and displaying the culture and spirit of international students, building "ancestral hall for international students", "Academy for international students" and "library for international students", and providing platform services for international students to "seek roots, repay kindness, create new businesses, pursue dreams, prosper the country and level the world". This innovative method of serving international students was named "Tongxin model" by Xinhua news agency in an interview.

We should build ancestral halls for overseas students, collect, research and display the cultural spirit of overseas students, and build a service platform for overseas students to find their roots.

Collect the time of international students

The Museum of international students of China launched the activity of "collecting the time of international students", calling on international students (including those studying abroad, lecturing, visiting and studying abroad) to donate their own souvenirs; calling on students to leave their descendants and donate their forefathers' souvenirs. After years of hard work, we have collected the relevant materials and souvenirs of nearly 10000 international students.

Graduate culture

The museum organizes experts to study the cultural spirit of international students, compiles the genealogy of international students, publishes the Tongxin library, and participates in the compilation of historical anthologies commemorating the forty years of reform and opening up, such as the forty years of studying in France, recording the history, culture, life, activities, social contributions and social influence of international students.

Show the spirit of international students

The permanent exhibition of the Museum of Chinese international students focuses on the theme of "leaving roots and casting soul". Taking famous international students as the point and the history of international students as the line, it introduces the great role played by the older generation of excellent international students in the development of the times, as well as the great feelings of "returning to the world" of the motherland. The special exhibition takes "memory of the motherland" as the theme to show the political and economic development of contemporary excellent international students in China , culture, science, art, medicine, health, education, environment, entrepreneurship and innovation.

We will build academies for international students, carry out forums, think tanks, lectures and other activities, and build a service platform for international students to repay their gratitude.

International Student Forum (Tongxin Forum)

For six consecutive years, the Museum of Chinese international students has hosted the forum for Chinese international students, which has been repeatedly reported by mainstream media such as Xinhua news agency and people's daily, and has been selected into the Shanghai Cultural Yearbook. At the same time, the China International Students museum holds various salons to serve international students. Shanghai high level talents salon is an ideological salon combining the characteristics of high-level overseas talents; Tongxin Culture Salon takes Tongxin Tea Club as a platform to carry out calligraphy and painting art creation, hold tea culture, flower arrangement art and other lectures, and carry out international cultural exchanges; international student scientist salon is committed to scientific and technological innovation, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements; International Student Entrepreneur salon contacts international students at home and abroad Enterprises, for overseas students entrepreneurship and innovation, for the local government investment platform.

International student think tank (Tongxin think tank)

Supported by international student forum and salon, the Museum of Chinese international students strengthens cooperation with domestic and foreign intellectual circles to provide consulting services in the fields of cultural spirit research of international students, science and technology, talent, and non-governmental diplomacy; provides top-level design services for the construction of smart and low-carbon cities around the strategic framework, key technologies, and evaluation methods of urban environment; and combines environmental and cultural research One belt, one road, one belt, one road, one is the seven line culture circle. The other is to promote China's advanced culture and serve the "one belt and one road" construction.

Lecture hall for international students (Tongxin lecture hall)

The Museum of international students of China cooperates with universities and all walks of life at home and abroad to set up a volunteer team of international students to provide general education and social practice services for college students and public cultural education services for the society, which is welcomed by high-level overseas talents and the society.

——General education classroom: organize volunteers of international students to provide general education for college students, help them broaden their horizons, understand various basic knowledge, and enhance their lofty ideals and aspirations.

——Science popularization Classroom: organize volunteers of foreign students to hold science popularization lectures for primary and secondary school students, and create a good atmosphere for primary and secondary school students to love, learn and use science.

——Cultural Classroom: organizing volunteers of overseas students to provide public welfare services such as face-to-face health care, overseas life, and other cutting-edge scientific and technological knowledge, cultural appreciation, and educational consultation.

——Study abroad Classroom: combined with the advantages of international students' contacts, contact foreign government scholarships, encourage all walks of life to set up named scholarships, and support outstanding young people to study abroad. The project has selected and sent out many batches of international students, which has produced good social benefits.

We will build a database for international students, provide innovation and entrepreneurship, international exchanges and other services, and build a mutual aid service platform for international students.

Tongxinli project

Tongxinli plan is a public welfare entrepreneurship and innovation service platform built by the Chinese Museum of international students and well-known enterprises. It aims to give full play to the role of international students and enterprises, build a "home for international students", provide a warm, comfortable and convenient innovation and entrepreneurship environment for international students, and help international students pursue their dreams and prosper the country and achieve sustainable development.

Lei Hua Guo project

The China China International Small and micro businesses one belt, one road, is designed for the purpose of giving play to the role of global students, promoting international exchanges and cooperation, serving the global small and micro enterprises, spreading advanced Chinese culture and helping to build "one belt and one road".
