Future Island Park

Future Island Park is located in the south of Zhenjiang North Road and at the junction of Qilianshan road and Suide road. It is located in the center of future Island logistics high tech park, Taopu Town, Putuo District, West Hall, Shanghai. The total construction area is 26990 square meters. The elevated railway of Nanhe branch line and an unnamed River pass through the park from east to west, dividing the park into three parts. The future Island Park is one of the practical projects of the municipal government in 2000. The land is provided by Taopu town and constructed by Putuo garden office. It was completed and opened at the end of December 2000.

The park takes the trees with the characteristics of multi-layer canopy as the skeleton, selects the local and pollution-resistant trees such as Zelkova, Ligustrum lucidum, palm, metasequoia, Magnolia grandiflora and Cedrus deodara as the main tree species, and introduces some new varieties of trees such as Cinnamomum camphora, silver wood and Acacia. There are 56 kinds of trees in the park, about 27000 trees.

In the park, there are complex buildings, composite pavilions and other buildings. In addition to a circular trunk road, there are also small squares and fitness paths around the park for tourists' activities. Activity space emphasizes the combination of human and nature. This is a park with ecological and environmental protection functions.

The completion of the future Island Park has improved the environment of Taopu area, promoted the investment attraction of the future Island logistics high-tech park, and provided a good place for the surrounding residents to exercise and leisure.
