Mingguanghong Temple

In the south of Shimenkou, Hongmiao Township, Mingguang County, there is a huge stone. The stone surface is relatively flat. In the center of the stone surface, there is a big pit about two feet long, eight inches wide and one inch deep, which looks like footprints. The five toes of footprints can be clearly identified. This big footprint is called "immortal foot" by the local people. It is said that it was left by Laozi Li Er when he came to the east to lobby.

The Scripture of Ethics

In the spring and Autumn period, there was a famous scholar Li Er in kuxian County of Chu state (now the east of Luyi County in Henan Province), whose name is Boyang. Later generations called him "Laozi". He was once in charge of the atlas of the Zhou Dynasty and studied the theory of "Tao" painstakingly. He believed that everything was born in Tao. He wrote Dao Jing and De Jing, whose full name is Tao Te Jing. It is said that Confucius went to the state of Chu to lobby and asked Laozi for advice. After the decline of the Zhou Dynasty, Lao Tzu lobbied around to spread his Tao Te Ching. At the beginning, he took a schoolboy and carried a bamboo basket on his shoulder. He could not travel more than 50 miles a day. It was very hard to preach virtue in every school. Later, I got a green ox in chuhuai area. Not only can I put the book basket on the back of the ox, but also I can ride on the back of the ox. In this way, you can travel a hundred miles a day.

Laozi crossing the Huaihe River

It's floating on the water. Be careful! "At this time, qingniu felt the mountain moving, as if standing on a big ship. Qingniu didn't dare to eat greedily, so he went down the mountain gently. Just as he was about to go down the mountain, qingniu felt that his hind hoof sank violently, and the stone was trampled down, leaving a deep ox footprint.

Qingniu knows the way

Laozi wants to go to Jingcheng (now Mingguang Shiba). Qingniu knows the way and comes all the way to the southwest. At that time, there was no way to get through. To get to Jingcheng, we had to bypass the old river. At the beginning, qingniu was steadily carrying Laozi southward, but as soon as he arrived at Gangji (now Mingguang Hongmiao township), qingniu quickened his pace and turned west. When I saw that the direction was wrong, I tried my best to stop qingniu. The more he stops, the faster he runs. When I was climbing the hillside, I accidentally fell off the back of the ox. qingniu still ran up the mountain without looking. I'm so angry that I don't know what's going on in qingniu today. I can't help getting up from the ground to chase qingniu. Laozi's shoes also ran away, and the gravel and withered wormwood pole on the hillside poked their feet again. Laozi had to find a stone to sit down and said to himself, "what's the matter with the cow today? If you don't want to suffer with me, don't carry the book away! "

Laozi didn't know that qingniu was once a Taoist boy in the alchemy room of this mountain. Because he ate the "silver elixir" refined by Taibai Jinxing for 7749 days and the "golden elixir" refined for 9981 days, he filled the bottle gourd with stones and made Taibai Jinxing ridiculed by the immortals at the peach party of the queen mother. After Taibai Venus returns to the alchemy room, she turns the Taoist who steals the elixir into a green ox. How many years have passed, and the young man who carried me here can't help feeling the scene. How do I know that? He thought that qingniu had been running around with him all day, and he could not bear the hardships and left him. It's a pity for me that he spent half his life on two baskets of books.

Qingniu ran all the way to the temple at the stone gate and the danfang on the hillside. He saw that there were only bricks and tiles left in the temple, and the danfang also became a pile of rubble. The master ascended to heaven, and the brothers went their separate ways. Qingniu burst into tears, and after a few "moo" calls, he slowly walked back along the original road.

Daojing

Lao Tzu saw qingniu come back from a distance. When he came closer, he saw qingniu's face was full of tears. I didn't know what was wrong with him. He turned the book and found that there was a book missing. Lao Tzu was angry and impatient. He stamped his foot, and a big footprint was stamped on a flat stone. Lao Tzu angrily took the basket off the back of the ox and said, "you go your way. I'll cross my log bridge. Don't follow me from now on. "Qingniu just" moo moo "cry, tears are still flowing, as if by how much injustice. Lao Tzu put his old book basket on the stone and went along the road qingniu ran to find the Daojing that had been knocked off. It's a coincidence that I found it before I went far. When Lao Tzu came back, he tied up the two baskets of books again and put them on his shoulder. He ignored qingniu and went back along the way. Poor qingniu couldn't figure it out. He just followed Laozi silently and patted Laozi with his tail from time to time. Lao Tzu stops, so does qingniu. Laozi thought that qingniu had been following me for more than a year. It was the first time for him to act like this today. Maybe there was something strange. It seems that everything is in the past. Laozi sighed and said, "qingniu, you don't want to leave me, do you? "Qingniu nodded. "Then don't fall me down again. "Qingniu nodded again. "Well, we are still good friends. "Qingniu" moo moo "two times, lying on my back, let me put the basket on my back, I sat on the back of the cow and said:" I don't know where my shoes are, I have to ride on your back. "Qingniu shakes his ears and walks steadily along the original road.

Big footprint
