Zhejiang revolutionary martyrs memorial hall is located in Yunju mountain, Southeast of West Lake in Hangzhou. It was built in 1985. In December 1987, the first phase of the project was broken.

The memorial project covers an area of about 70000 square meters, including martyrs memorial hall, martyrs memorial, large-scale copper relief wall, large-scale granite group sculpture, memorial square, corridor, driveway, service network and garden sketch.

On June 1, 1992, with the approval of the State Council, the memorial hall was listed as the national key martyr memorial building protection unit. On May 1, 1993, the memorial hall was designated as one of the top ten patriotic education bases in Hangzhou by Hangzhou spiritual civilization construction Steering Committee.

Located in Yunju mountain, Southeast of West Lake, the memorial was built in 1985. The memorial hall covers an area of 104.9 mu. The monument is 27 meters high and sail shaped. On the front of the monument are eight gold-plated characters inscribed by Chen Yun: "revolutionary martyrs will never die.". The sculpture wall is 82 meters long and 4.5 meters high. It is the largest copper relief wall in China.

With a construction area of 4600 square meters, the martyrs memorial hall has novel structure, national characteristics and a sense of the times. The memorial hall of the martyrs is magnificent in appearance, with more than 1000 pictures and more than 400 revolutionary cultural relics on display, showing the historical facts of the struggle of more than 350 revolutionary martyrs in Zhejiang Province from the 1911 Revolution to the socialist construction period and their heroic demeanor.

Zhejiang revolutionary martyrs memorial hall is located on Yunju mountain in Hangzhou West Lake scenic area.

It was officially opened on September 19, 1990. Memorial facilities include martyrs memorial hall, martyrs memorial, large relief wall, large granite group sculpture, memorial square and revolutionary martyrs' poems and inscriptions forest, covering an area of more than 70000 square meters. Among them, Zhejiang revolutionary martyrs memorial building covers an area of 4800 square meters, which is the largest martyrs memorial building in our province. There are seven exhibition halls in the museum, displaying the deeds of nearly 350 revolutionary martyrs in Zhejiang from the 1911 Revolution to the socialist construction period. Through more than 1000 photos, more than 400 cultural relics, sculpture, sand table, oil painting, film, video and other means of expression, the tragic and moving deeds of revolutionary martyrs are shown to the audience. The monument to the revolutionary martyrs next to the memorial hall is 27 meters high. The body of the monument is covered with white marble, in the shape of a sail. The base of the stele is overlaid with black granite, and the top and front of the stele are overlaid with jujube red granite. The east-west and north sides of the monument are surrounded by relief walls. Chen Yun, former director of the Advisory Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, inscribed the monument with eight characters: "the revolutionary martyrs will live forever.". The memorial hall is a national key protection unit for memorial buildings for martyrs.

Major events

On July 1, 1985, the leading group for the preparation of Zhejiang revolutionary martyrs memorial was established to be responsible for the preparation of Zhejiang revolutionary martyrs memorial.

It can be divided into seven periods: Zhejiang after the Opium War, the 1911 Revolution, the founding of the Communist Party of China and the first great revolution, the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the Anti Japanese War, the liberation war, the socialist revolution and socialist construction. The exhibition hall displays more than 1000 pictures, more than 400 cultural relics, 20 sculptures, sand tables, oil paintings, etc.

The main hall of Zhejiang revolutionary martyrs memorial hall was built and opened to the outside world. After six years of phased preparation, the Museum covers an area of 104.9 mu. The main buildings include Zhejiang Revolutionary Martyrs Monument, martyrs memorial hall, huge copper relief wall, large granite martyrs group sculpture, Hangzhou army prison Martyrs Memorial Pavilion, Jiyi Pavilion and other four Memorial, viewing Pavilion scenic spot and square, corridor, uphill roadway, parking lot, service department, flower garden and service management room 30 projects with a construction area of 7100 square meters.

The Department of civil affairs of Zhejiang Province issued the "reply on the internal structure of Zhejiang revolutionary martyrs memorial" and agreed that the memorial should have an office, a historical materials section, a publicity section and a security section.
