Wall rock

The wall rock group was originally called "wall conglomerate". The baishaxiba of the model section passes through Lianhuakou, JIANMENGUAN and hanyangpu to the south peak of Jiange City, and is divided into Lianhuakou formation, JIANMENGUAN formation, hanyangpu formation and Jiange formation from bottom to top. At the top of hanyangpu formation, there are some fossils, such as Silurus sichuanensis, Silurus meihuensis, Silurus brevicornis and Darwinia brevicornis. The age of the fossils may belong to the late Cretaceous, and no fossils are found in other groups. Therefore, the Jiange formation and hanyangpu formation belong to the upper Cretaceous, while the JIANMENGUAN and Lianhuakou formations belong to the lower Cretaceous (or upper Jurassic) temporarily.
