Minjiang Park, located in the South and north of Fujian Province, is the largest open leisure park in Fuzhou. The completion of Minjiang park is an important stage achievement of Fuzhou's "eastward expansion and southward expansion" strategy. It also greatly promotes the development of real estate industry on both sides of Minjiang River and achieves remarkable economic and social benefits.

About the park

Minjiang park is divided into North Park and South Park, with the river as the boundary, echoing from afar. Among them, the North Park and the South Park were built on May 1, 2000 and May 1, 2002 respectively, and are open to the public and tourists free of charge.

With a total length of 5.5 kilometers and an area of 44.24 hectares, Beiyuan integrates hydrophilicity, ecology and artistry, reflecting the unique cultural characteristics of Minjiang River Basin and the style of Rongcheng. It consists of nine scenic spots, which are Xihe garden, Jinjiang garden, Jinsha garden, Wanglong garden, colorful garden, qiaoliang garden, Hualong garden, Minfeng garden and minshui garden from west to East.

Nanyuan is located on the South Bank of Minjiang River, with a total length of 2850 meters and an area of 27.4 hectares. There are more native forests in Nanyuan, and less traces of artificial carving. It is composed of a main entrance square and eight scenic spots: Lotus Pond Moonlight, Riverside leisure, dreamland, children's fun world, ten mile flower path, flower Town Square, Hongtang ancient ferry and sun bathing coconut wind.

olympic torch relay

On the afternoon of May 11, 2008, the torch of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games was passed on Jiangbin Avenue beside the North Park of Minjiang park for three hours. At about 18:30 PM that day, Fujian weightlifter Shi Zhiyong lit the main torch platform in wanglongyuan scenic area of the North Park, marking the success of the torch relay of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games -- Fuzhou Station.

(4) 100, 112, 113, 118, 160 get off at Jinniushan Park (Kangqiao middle school).

Nanyuan (1) 5, 85, 150, 152, 162 get off at MaRong new village (nanjiangbin Park);
