Highbridge Park

Gaoqiao park is located in Gaoqiao Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. It is adjacent to nanqun River in the south, Dazhai River in the west, Huashan Road in the north and Tongyuan road in the East. It covers an area of 69.6 mu, including 4.5 mu of water surface area and 2 mu of lawn area. It has planted more than 50000 plants of nearly 100 varieties and more than 40 kinds of plants, with a green coverage rate of 66%. In May 1988, under the concern of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of landscape architecture, the construction of Gaoqiao Park was officially started. The park was completed and opened on June 1, 1990. It is a secondary Park mainly invested by the government and supported by the community.

Main attractions

The main scenic spots of Gaoqiao park are South Gate, Lake Pavilion, rockery, promenade, bijuan lake, etc. The south gate is located in the southeast corner of the park, which is composed of box office, management room, gate post, gate and wall. The gate is covered with red granite. Above the gate is the spread wings of seagulls. The gate post is inlaid with three pieces of white marble to form the word "Chuan". The big blade on the wall and the tile on the roof are wavy. The overall meaning of the gate is the high bridge on the East China Sea, which is full of vigor and prosperity Located by Dongshi road to the north of the south gate, it is composed of Huxin Pavilion, quqiao, Furong villa, etc. thousands of red carp are kept in the lake, and dozens of peach willows are planted on the lakeside. Every spring, the peach willows are green, and the red carp are chasing. The scenery is pleasant. Jingshi rockery, located in the south of the park, is 6-7 meters high. It was originally a combined blockhouse during the war of liberation, but now it is covered with Yellowstone. On the rockery, there are round pavilions, round tables The benches are for visitors to have a rest. You can see the beautiful scenery of the park from the mountains. The corridor is located in the west of the park, adjacent to Dazhai River in the west, and Zhulin mountain in the north. There is a Western-style Pavilion at both ends of the corridor. The middle corridor is decorated with hollowed out flower windows, whitewashed walls and tiles. You can have a rest and hear the bamboo waves here to calm your mind.

The park has opened up children's playground, battery car, bumper car, pleasure boat and other amusement projects, and jointly organized some cultural activities with relevant government departments, including Juzhan in 1991, 1996 and 1998, lantern show in 1992, etc., providing a leisure place with beautiful environment and complete facilities for nearby community residents.
