Chollima Statue

The bronze statue of Qianlima stands on the hill of wanshoutai. It was built on April 15, 1961 on the occasion of the 49th birthday of the great leader, comrade Kim Il Sung. The base is built with more than 360 kinds of 2500 pieces of granite of different specifications. The bronze statue is a "thousand li horse" with two wings stretched and riding workers and farmers.

Detailed introduction

The total height of the bronze statue is 46 meters (from the sidewalk to the red letter paper), of which the statue is 14 meters high and 16 meters long. The bronze statue of workers is 7 meters high and that of farmers is 6.5 meters high. The base is made of more than 360 kinds and 2500 pieces of granite of different specifications. In front of the bronze statue is the heroic working class, holding high the "red letter paper" of the Central Committee of the Korean workers' party, marching forward with the momentum of riding a thousand li horse. Behind it is the scene of a female farmer with rice speeding up her March.
