Jile temple in Ciyun

It is the main scenic spot of Moxing scenic area and a religious tourist attraction. It was first built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 240 years.

Since its inception, the temple has experienced a lot of disasters. Since 1983, it has been renovated and expanded by pilgrims at home and abroad. Now it has formed a large scale, mainly including parking lot, Mountain Gate, Fangu Qingyin, Fangsheng pool, bell tower, Drum Tower, Daxiong hall, jade Buddha Hall, Penglai Shijing Poetry Wall, Pai Wei hall, cangjing building, Yixin Pavilion, jade Buddha pagoda, Penglai tea garden, etc., covering an area of nearly 100 mu.

Located in moxin mountain in the southeast of Daishan Island, the temple is an extension of Ciyun Temple. Ciyun Temple was first built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It is mainly composed of Shanmen, Fangu Qingyin, fangshengchi, bell tower, Drum Tower, Daxiong hall, jade Buddha Hall, Penglai Shijing Poetry Wall, sutra library, dizang hall, Yixin Pavilion, Ciyun nunnery, jade Buddha pagoda, Penglai tea garden, covering an area of nearly 100 mu.

Scenery introduction

The temple was first built in the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795). In the early 1980s, the first great monk of enlightenment in Putuo Mountain presided over large-scale repair and expansion. Up to now, it has formed a pure land Taoist temple with a strict layout and a solemn temple, covering an area of more than 100 mu.

Centered on the "three holy halls", the temple is composed of memorial archway, Mountain Gate, bell and Drum Tower, Tianwang hall, sutra collection building, jade Buddha pagoda, Huazang world, anyong Buddhist hall, Wugong memorial hall, Gongde hall and other buildings.

Entering the mountain gate is the temple of heavenly kings. In the middle of the temple is the white jade Maitreya Buddha statue of Myanmar, with a simple face and a smile to welcome the believers. On the back is the powerful Dharma protector Weituo Bodhisattva, and on both sides are the "Four Heavenly Kings". It is made by a famous craftsman of Dongqian Lake in Ningbo who imitates the wall wood carving of Dunhuang Grottoes in Gansu Province. Sansheng hall is the main hall of the temple. It was built in 1989 and has been built for five years. Hall for the "three saints of the west", surrounded by 48 Amitabha. The Sutra house is the place of "Zhengfa Yancang", which has abundant ancient books. "Huazang world" was built in the 1980s. It uses the principle of light reflection to transform one Buddha into countless Buddhas. If one person pays homage to one Buddha, it will be like ten thousand people paying homage to one Buddha.

The Jade Buddha pagoda is seven stories high, majestic and spectacular, overlooking from the railing, connecting the sea and mountain, and having a panoramic view of the county. It is a landmark building of Daishan County. More than 80 Burmese jade Buddhas are worshipped in the pagoda. They are magnificent in appearance, different in shape, crystal clear and exquisite.

In addition, there are star garden, Guanyin cave, memorial archway sunset, double Pavilion view of the sea, white peak snow and other landscape. In the rainy and foggy days like white hada, the ancient temple with dense air appears elegant and ethereal. Many famous calligraphers and architects wrote plaques and steles. In 1989, Zhao Puchu, President of the Buddhist Association of China, came to the temple and wrote an inscription to present the monument.
