Liyuan guild

Liyuan association is a mass organization of people in Beijing Opera circle. After the reign of Emperor Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, its name changed several times, including "Jingzhong Temple", "Zhengyue Education Association", "Beijing Liyuan Public Welfare Association" and "Beiping Liyuan Association".

Jingzhong Temple

——In the late Qing Dynasty, the organization of Beijing opera artists was set up in Jingzhong temple in dongcaoshi, so it was also called "Jingzhong Temple". In the middle of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, he moved to Huiji temple at the south end of qianmenwai grain store street. Cheng Changgeng, Liu Gansan, Xu Xiaoxiang, Yang yuelou, Wang Jiuling, Yu Jusheng, Tan Xinpei and others were appointed as the head of the temple one after another (the head of the temple was originally selected only from the old people). From Yu Yuqin, Hebei Bangzi Huadan Tian Jiyun, Peking Opera Qingyi Xiaofu has served as the head of the temple. It is responsible for organizing classes, inviting actors, supporting poor artists, funeral and other public welfare matters. In case of a major event, the leader will call the "Yangong people" of each class to make a judgment. Ask the internal affairs government to set up a street gate to manage the affairs of Jingzhong temple, send a banner man to be a doctor, and spread orders. Zheng Yue Yu Hua Hui

——In 1912, it was initiated and organized by Tian Jiyun, Yang Guiyun and Yu Yuqin to replace the "Jingzhong Temple". It was officially established in 1914 and elected Tan Xinpei as president and Tian Jiyun as vice president. A special person will be assigned to deal with the welfare of the artists, and the cost will be borne by each class, that is, one copper dollar will be drawn from each seat ticket. After the establishment of the association, it launched colleagues in the opera industry to perform for Hubei and other provinces on the first stage. In 1928, it was sold out.

Liyuan Public Welfare Association

——In 1928, it was founded by 50 people, including Xu Deyi, Hao Shouchen, Hou Xirui, ye Chunshan, Zhu Wenying, Wang Changlin and Wang qinnong, to replace zhengle Qinghua Association. The venue is located at 34 Cherry Street. In 1936, the Beiping municipal government ordered the reorganization of the association because it had not been registered.

Peiping Liyuan Association

——It was formally established in July 1936. Yang Xiaolou, Shang Xiaoyun, Yu Lianquan, Xun Huisheng, Cheng Xianqiu, Mei Lanfang, Yu Shuyan, Tan Fuying, Ma Lianliang, Gao Qingkui and Wang Youchen were elected as directors. Zhou Ruian, Hou Xirui, Cheng Jixian and other 15 are alternate directors. In 1945, the Liyuan association was reorganized again, and Shang Xiaoyun was elected as its chairman, Shen Yubin and Chen Shaolin as its vice presidents. Soon after, Shang Xiaoyun asked to resign because of his busy performance, and Shen Yubin took over. Wang Yaoqing and Xiao Changhua served as supervisors. From Jingzhong temple to Liyuan guild, the name and the person in charge were changed constantly, but the rules remained unchanged. The trade rules are the trade rules that members must abide by, and the contents are roughly as follows: no fishing rod hook fish (poaching the leading role and scene); no tearing up the class in class (destroying unity, making class society lax and collapsing); no on-the-spot buck passing (not accepting roles); no coaxing, laughing, shady people, wrong family report on stage, etc. Those who violate the rules "get rid of the pear garden". In the second half of 1947, the Liyuan guild was elected and renamed Peking Opera guild. New president ye Shengzhang, vice president Shen Yubin, executive directors Li Hongchun, Xiao Shengxuan, ye Shengchang, Bai Yunsheng, Shen Yucai, etc. Not long after, ye Shengzhang was arrested for refusing the order of the Peking government to organize a compulsory play to welcome Zhang daofan, the National Congress representative.
