Qiangulouyuan Hutong, belonging to jinggongfang of Zhaohui in Ming Dynasty, is called Gulao Hutong. It was named after a Yangji courtyard in the Hutong. In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to inlaid yellow flag. It was called qiangulou court in Qianlong period and qiangulou court in Xuantong period. After the Republic of China. In 1965, when the place name was reorganized, it was renamed qiangulouyuan Hutong. During the "Cultural Revolution", it was once renamed as eight brilliant streets, and then its original name was restored.
