history

The memorial hall is located in Hebei village, Shicheng Town, Miyun District, formerly known as the cemetery of the martyrs. Bai Yihua was the former commander of the 10th infantry regiment of Jin Cha Ji of the Eighth Route Army, and the founder of the Anti Japanese guerrilla bases of Feng, Luan and MI. On February 4, 1941, he was shot by Japanese soldiers and died at the age of 30. Jirecha of the Eighth Route Army issued a letter to all comrades in the army, praising Bai Yihua as "an excellent commander, a national hero and a pioneer of the proletariat". In May 1984, the people's Government of Miyun County decided to raise more than 300000 yuan to rebuild the monument to the martyrs of Bai Yihua and build a new cemetery for the martyrs of Bai Yihua on the south mountain top of Hebei village, Shicheng Town, Miyun County. Since then, the people's Government of Miyun County has invested many times to repair the cemetery. Since March 2006, another 4 million yuan has been invested in the large-scale renovation of the cemetery, and the memorial hall for the martyrs of Bai Yihua was officially completed on July 1, 2006. In 2006, the memorial hall of martyr Bai Yihua was awarded the title of "Beijing patriotism education base" by Beijing Propaganda Department of CPC. On April 5, 2011, Jiao Ruoyu, former mayor of Beijing and former comrade in arms of martyr Bai Yihua, accompanied by Wang Haichen, deputy secretary of the CPC Miyun County Committee and head of the county, came to the cemetery of martyr Bai Yihua in Shicheng Town, Miyun County to pay homage to him.

Architecture

Covering an area of about 2000 square meters, the memorial hall and monument of the martyrs of Bai Yihua face Miyun reservoir, back to Maying West Mountain, West to jiangpeng mountain, the sacrificial site of Bai Yihua, and south to Baihe River. The memorial hall covers an area of 214 square meters. On both sides of the gate are the memorial hall of the martyrs and the memorial hall of the Anti Japanese struggle in Miyun. Jiao Ruoyu, former mayor of Beijing and former comrade in arms of Bai Yihua, wrote the eight characters of "Memorial Hall of martyrs of Bai Yihua". The museum is divided into four exhibition halls, including three picture exhibition halls with 43 pictures, and one video exhibition hall with promotional videos. At the entrance of the monument, there is a 6-meter-high stone archway. The front of the archway is engraved with "martyr Bai Yihua forever", and the back is engraved with "national hero". Through the archway, there is a stone paved road of 4 meters to the top of the mountain. The monument of martyr Bai Yihua stands in the middle of the mountain top. The monument is a 5-meter-square platform, paved with granite strips, surrounded by white marble fence and cypress trees. In the middle of the platform, on a milky marble platform, there is a 2-meter-high white Yihua military half body granite statue. Behind the statue, there are four marble steles side by side. In the middle two steles are engraved with shauke's Inscriptions: "xuewo Youyan", "eternal name", left A stone tablet beside is engraved with a biography of Bai Yihua, and a stone tablet on the right is engraved with an inscription.
