Official gate
Guanmenkou was built by Mu's chieftain in Lijiang, which is the distribution center of tourism commodities in the ancient city. In 2009, for tourism development, Lijiang changed "guanmenkou" to "guanmenkou".
Development history
The official gate was built by the chieftain mu of Lijiang. Mu's chieftains refer to the feudal lords (Naxi nationality) in ancient times. They are the owners of land, forest and river in Lijiang, and also the political rulers. Lord Mu basically maintained his own interests through corvee and servitude for ordinary people. In the past, the official gate was the dividing line between the rich and the poor. This gate represents power, money and boxing power, and is an inviolable symbol.
In 2009, Lijiang changed "guanmenkou" to "guanmenkou" for tourism development, which makes the meaning of this gate more concrete and mysterious. Inside the official gate are a variety of goods, as well as the distribution center of tourism goods in the ancient city. Basically, every tourist who comes to the ancient city of Lijiang will go in for a trip, which has become an indispensable project for tourism in the ancient city of Lijiang.
