Chen Jingxian's tomb tower

Chen Jingxian's tomb tower is located in the south of Yindou mountain, Jimei District, Xiamen, Fujian Province, covering an area of 180 square meters.

Chen Jingxian (1889-1936), Xiamen beauty collection. The younger brother of the famous overseas Chinese leader, Tan Kah Kee, was his right-hand assistant in developing industry and education. When he was young, he went to Singapore to do business with his brother. In 1916, he went back to his hometown to help Tan Kah Kee establish Jimei school. He devoted himself to the construction of school buildings and the planning of educational affairs. He was honored as the "second school leader" by teachers and students. In 1919, when Tan Kah Kee returned to China to establish Xiamen University, he returned to Singapore to take charge of business. After 1927, Chen Jingxian had to quit school administration and devote himself to studying Buddhism. He meditated on his illness and died in Hangzhou in 1936.

Built in 1984, the pagoda faces south. It is made of granite and has five storeys and five eaves. The eaves are paved with peacock green glazed tiles. The top of the Yellow hulusha is 10 meters high and the bottom is 1.85 meters long. There are 30 stone reliefs of Buddhist stories embedded in the tower. The tower is hexagonal, made of granite strips, 3.75 meters long and 1 meter high, with five stone steps connected to the ground. On March 14, 1990, Chen Jingxian's only son, Chen Xiangsheng, was buried in the tower. On the east side is the tomb of Chen Qibai, Chen Jingxian's father.

In 2001, it was announced as the second batch of cultural relics protection units at district level by Jimei District government.
