National 4A tourist attractions. Built in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty, Jintai temple is a cave kiln Taoist temple with the architectural style of Ming and Qing Dynasties and national characteristics. It is famous for Zhang Sanfeng, the founder of Wudang sect of Taoism, practising and preaching here. Jintai district is named after "Jintai Temple". Covering an area of more than 40 mu, Jintai temple is now the only Taoist temple in China that worships Zhang Sanfeng.
