Shapotou suspension bridge, located in Shapotou, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, was completed in 2004. In 2017, on the basis of Shapotou suspension bridge, the original wooden board was replaced with tempered glass and transformed into a 3D glass bridge of the Yellow River. The glass bridge deck is 210 meters long and 2.6 meters wide, and the vertical height between the bridge deck and the river is 10 meters.

In August 2017, the Yellow River 3D glass bridge operation launching ceremony was held in Shapotou scenic area, Zhongwei, Ningxia.

Initial construction

Shapotou suspension bridge was built in 2004. At the beginning of its construction, the deck was paved with wooden boards.

reform

In 2017, Shapotou tourist attraction implemented the quality improvement and capacity expansion project, with a total investment of 20 million yuan, transforming the suspension bridge into the Yellow River 3D glass bridge on the original basis. The total length of the steel cable bridge is 328m, the middle 210 m and the north side span 60 M. the anticorrosive wood board is replaced with tempered glass. The bridge deck is made of four sections of three-layer double-layer laminated glass, with a length of 210 meters. From south to north, the four sections are: 75 meters 3D effect glass trestle road - 60 meters super white transparent glass trestle road - 75 meters 3D effect glass trestle road - 60 meters super white transparent glass trestle Road, with a width of 2.6 meters. The vertical height between the bridge surface and the river is 10 meters. There are 61 pieces of transparent glass and 77 pieces of 3D picture glass, with a total of 13 pieces 8 pieces of glass. After testing, the weight of each piece of glass can reach 3 tons.

In August 2017, the first 3D glass bridge across both sides of the Yellow River in China was unveiled in Shapotou scenic area, Zhongwei City, Ningxia, officially open to tourists.
