Fushun West Lake

Fushun West Lake is located in the northwest corner of Fushun County. It is a natural lake with artificial decoration. It is big in the South and small in the north. It looks like a flat gourd and is famous for lotus. The West Lake used to be a natural depression where rainwater converged from Zhongxiu, Shengui, Wufu and agate mountains. As early as the Song Dynasty, it had been dredged, built stone dikes, and tunnelled into a lake, "six or seven Li wide". After generations of cultivation and decoration, it has successively built "Xihu hall", "Huguang Pavilion", "Lingbo Pavilion", "blowing incense Pavilion", "Chunfeng Pavilion", "Xingxin Pavilion", "huanle Pavilion", "Jinglian Pavilion", "Haoran platform" and "Chaoran platform". Meandering lake, pavilions echoed, curved bridge hook, lotus yingri, lotus leaves Jietian, weeping willow row shore. The boat in the lake imitates the West Lake boat in Hangzhou. It can hold a banquet and invite guests. Especially the boat yacht, rippling in the lake, has left many ancient anecdotes.

Fushun West Lake is located in the northwest corner of Fushun County, Zigong City, Sichuan Province. It is more than two kilometers around the lake. It is an artificially decorated natural lake, big in the South and small in the north. It looks like a flat gourd. Fushun West Lake used to be a natural depression of rainwater confluence in the surrounding mountains. As early as the Song Dynasty, it was dredged and built with stone as a dike, so it became a lake.

The lake is connected by curved bridges, the lotus reflects the sun, and the weeping willows lie on the bank.

The artificially decorated natural lake is named for its location in the west of the old city. It has a circumference of 1.6 kilometers and an area of 3.84 hectares. It is big in the South and small in the north, and looks like a flat gourd. Lotus is planted in the lake, and Jiuqu bridge, Longfeng bridge, Hongqu Pavilion, Bibo Pavilion and Huguang pavilion are built on the water.

Every midsummer, the lotus on the lake is in full bloom, reflecting the pavilions. There is a graceful sculpture of Xizi girl on the bank. She steps on the lotus and drops the flower basket. She looks at the red lotus and green leaves in the lake. The weeping willows along the Bank of the river, especially the three famous ancient trees, stand aloof by the lake and cover the sky with green leaves.

Surrounded by Zhongxiu mountain, Shengui mountain, Wufu mountain and so on, the landscape of "half mountain and half city lake" is formed. Duyi cave, bell and Drum Tower, martyr's cemetery, LiuGuangdi tomb, Qianfo temple, Luofu cave, the first mountain stone tablet and other places of interest are all around the West Lake.

Fushun West Lake is famous far and near, with the reputation of "thirty six West Lakes in the world, and one in Sichuan".
