Yandu Botanical Garden

Zigong Yandu botanical garden is a reconstruction of the former Xishan Park in Zigong, which is free of charge. It has become a new city card -- Zigong City construction project of national green, ecological and environmental protection, Yuanlin city. It covers an area of 53 square meters, with more than 130 kinds of ornamental plants. To provide a special park for the public to understand plants, popularize plant science knowledge, and integrate leisure, viewing, fitness and entertainment. Yandu botanical garden is a comprehensive botanical garden with the functions of plant scientific research, popular science education, leisure and fitness. "Two zones" are dinosaur associated plant zone and kelp, and "six zones" are dinosaur associated plant viewing zone, halophyte viewing zone, Huatian ecological experience zone, Jinghu aquatic plant viewing zone, forest ecological experience zone and native plant viewing zone. The salt culture and dinosaur associated plant landscape in Zigong are fully interpreted with plant language.

With shuangchengjing, a municipal cultural relic protection unit, as the core, the halophyte Park covers an area of 24 mu. It is a characteristic theme area for the collection of halophyte germplasm resources, application research and salt culture perception experience. More than 30 species of halophytes and 10 species of salt tolerant plants have been collected and applied, mainly including elm, Melia azedarach, Fraxinus, Albizia julibrissin, Lycium barbarum, Robinia pseudoacacia, Amorpha fruticosa, Hibiscus syriacus, rose, strange willow, Kochia scoparia, Dactylis, Festuca arundinacea, Hosta, marshmallow, etc.
