Zhaoping pagoda Park

Pagoda park is located in the south of Zhaoping County, close to Guijiang river. In the park, there is a towering Lingxiao tower, also known as "Fanta". Zhaoping pagoda Park

Chengnan pagoda of Zhaoping County, also known as Wenbi pagoda, was built in 1934. In 17 years, it will be nearly 100 years old. The tower is 24 meters high and has a hexagonal five story brick tile wood structure. It has a beautiful shape and is one of the best pagodas along the Guijiang river. In the past 100 years, the tower has experienced the misfortune of honor, indifference and even being on the verge of crushing. After the disaster, Zhaoping County Government renovated it, listed it as a cultural relic and listed it for protection. In recent years, the government has allocated funds to build a company in baotaling, named after the pagoda, which is even more precious. For a long time, we only know that the pagoda is a scene of Zhaoping County, but there is a lack of research on its cultural connotation. In recent years, after jianbaota park has become a window of civilization in the county, it is interesting to explore. Searching for the relevant ancient books and records in the county, we can learn some relevant records from the stele records of rebuilding the Academy, which was established in the second year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty. Development history

Lingxiao tower in Zhaoping pagoda Park, also known as Wenbi tower, is located in the south of Zhaoping County, on a mound close to Guijiang River and Zhaoping Riverside Avenue. One of the inscriptions says that in 1628, Yin Gan Wenkui of the county left his last words in his Zhaosu record (the title of the book, which is interpreted as Zhaoping Zhenxing Chronicle), which was compiled in the seventh year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, "Zhaoyi mainly lives in Wuzhi Mountain, with two Gorges as the key and sanzhailing as the barrier, so it has a favorable location.". However, there is no turning wave in Matan, and there is no towering trend in the south of the city. If it is appropriate to build a pagoda at noon, it will be prosperous for officials and sufficient for civilian use. ". In his book Zhaosu Lu, he expressed his "deep regret" for this. It can be seen from the above inscriptions that the ancients advocated the construction of the tower in the south of the city, which was based on Yi Li and folk feng shui theory. The interpretation with the current civilized words was out of the pursuit of the perfection of the ecological environment of the county, as well as the good wish of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, so as to achieve the ideal of "Prospering official atmosphere and enriching civil life". Gan Wenkui is a popular county magistrate. After his death, the people of the county built a Gangong temple in the county and expressed their nostalgia for him.

In 1747, 80 years after the death of Yin in Ganxian County, Zhaoping County finally built its first pagoda on qilinggang, which is nearly 200 meters high on the East Bank of the north end of maxia gorge in the south of the city, 265 years ago. This tower is located in the South and North, facing the Confucian Temple (school Palace) in the county. It is the supporting facilities of the Confucian temple and even the county government in geomantic geography theory. After 62 years, it was elevated and decorated, adding a lot of style to the Confucian temple and the county. But at that time, there were many grass houses in and out of the city, which often caused fire. At that time, the gate of the pagoda was decorated with vermilion, which clearly reflected the county in the sun. Some local people suspected that the frequent fire was caused by the Wenta. Some people even pointed out that if the pagoda was built on the flag ridge, the flag could not float, so how could it bring out talents? So they had the idea of demolishing the pagoda and rebuilding it. For more than a hundred years, they had no intention to repair it even if it failed. However, due to lack of funds, it has not been able to do so for a long time. It was not until 1934 that he Wu, a major general of the county army who returned from the war, built a villa on the right side of the Academy. He was eager to have Wenfeng's house. He learned that the people of the city wanted to move Wenta, so he made great efforts to help them and accomplished the good deeds of both sides. During this period, he Wu, with his military qualifications, negotiated with the head of the national military secret service group who was building the Guijiang defense fortification in Zhaoping at that time, and proposed the idea of "combining the fort and tower with the military and the people to build together". The shooting hole and lookout hole in the tower were complete according to the defense requirements, and reasonably obtained military funding, which led to the event. This is the origin of this pagoda, also known as "Diaolou".

In order to protect the pagoda and better let people enjoy its historical customs, Zhaoping people built a park with the pagoda as the center. Local residents will come to Baota Park in twos and threes to enjoy the cool when they have nothing to do.

Current situation of scenic spots

The pagoda is divided into five layers. The first to the fifth layers are octagonal, all of which are made of green bricks. Each wall of the pagoda has several holes and windows of different shapes.

There is a couplet on both sides of the gate: zhenlongping, along the Bank of baodiaolou in three cities, and maxia, shiqingju in Tianjin, through two Guangdong provinces. The second layer is engraved with "mainstay Zhongpai", the third layer is engraved with "beyond imagination", and the fourth layer is engraved with "beyond show". The top floor is engraved with the word "Lingxiao", so it is called Lingxiao tower. In the pagoda Park, there is a "monument of martyrs killed in the Anti Japanese War", on which are written 14 big characters: the martyrs' hearts have been shining for thousands of years, and the heroic spirit has lasted for thousands of years.

"To build an ecological landscape forest city" is a grand goal put forward by the county Party committee and government. In recent years, Zhaoping has taken advantage of Guijiang River's smart advantages, taking "water" as the body and "movement" as the beauty. On both sides of Guijiang river, Zhaoping has carried out facade reconstruction and lighting projects for buildings along the river, creating a beautiful "dream Jiangnan Water Town" night scene, and striving to build a new Zhaoping with "landscape Zhaoping and green tea town", which has become a new highlight of eco-tourism in the county.
