Located in the southern end of Huang Huai plain, 15 kilometers south of Sicheng, in dalukou Township and Dunji town. Wetland park has rivers, lakes, reed swamps and other wetland types. The total area of the park is 1695 hectares, of which the wetland area is 1100 hectares, with a wetland rate of 65%.

The wetland park is planned to be divided into five functional areas: wetland conservation area, wetland restoration area, science popularization and education exhibition area, wetland leisure ecological experience area and management service area.

Shilong Lake Wetland Park in Sixian County, Anhui Province is located 12 kilometers south of Sixian County, 800 meters east of national highway 104. It is located at the junction of dalukou Township, Dunji town and Jiegou of Wuhe County, with a total area of 1695 hectares. The wetland area in the park is 1100 hectares, accounting for 65% of the total area. It is connected with Shiliang River and Longxu ditch on the top, with continuous water source and Tiangang lake on the bottom, so it is easy to discharge flood.

Located in the transition zone from warm temperate zone to subtropical zone, it is a typical mixed wetland of lakes, rivers and swamps. It is rich in biological resources and is a must for many migratory birds to migrate.

The area of Shilong Lake wetland is nearly 20000 mu, where the water is always clear, the reeds are overgrown, there are 31 kinds of fish and 15 kinds of amphibians. There are 129 species of plants in 4 families and 7 groups of wetland animal resources, with a total of more than 200 species, Among them, there are three kinds of national second-class key protected plants, such as wild soybean lotus and wild wilt; one kind of national first-class key protected bird, Oriental White Stork; nine kinds of national second-class key protected birds, such as little swan, kite, common buzzard, white tailed Harrier, kestrel, grey crane, white naped crane, long eared owl and short eared owl; and 30 kinds of key protected animals in Anhui Province.

There are Shilong Town, Huanhu Road, control gate, Deng Gong's hometown, Bawang City, dianjiangtai, holiday village, bird island, reed pond, hot spring, thousand mu lotus pond, fishing center and farmhouse.

On December 24, 2009, Shilong Lake Wetland in Sixian county was officially approved as a National Wetland Park pilot by the State Forestry Bureau.

On August 16, 2016, the State Forestry Administration issued the notice of the State Forestry Administration on the acceptance results of the pilot National Wetland Park in 2016 (linshfa [2016] No. 107). Sixian shilonghu Wetland Park successfully passed the acceptance and was officially named "National Wetland Park" by the State Forestry Administration.
