Daye university is located in Changhua County, Taiwan Province, China. It was founded in March 1990, formerly known as Daye Institute of technology, and changed its name to Daye University in 1997. In February 2015, Spain's Webometrics ranked 22nd in the world, 6% of the 159 universities in Taiwan, ranking 49th, ahead of 110 public and private universities. According to the 2013 best university list of universities in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan (about 180 universities) released by China Alumni Association website, our university ranked 42nd, and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan ranked in the top quarter of the best universities.

In recent years, Daye university has made outstanding achievements in academic research. According to the statistics of Taiwan's ESI papers, the engineering field of our university has entered the top 1% of the world (calculated by the number of citations); and the statistics of wos papers also show that our university has accumulated considerable research energy in the fields of mechanics, agronomy, materials, biology and immunology.
