Dongshan Palace

Dongshan palace, commonly known as "shecuo Palace", is located in Heshan village, Dongpu town on the North Bank of Putian City. In front of the temple are squares and theatres, and on the right are houses. Please God title "Xinghua XINANLI she CuO Jing Chongxing she Dongshan Palace". There are 538 believers in a natural village.

Dongshan palace was founded in Ming Dynasty. In 1978, Zeng Jingui initiated the renovation, and in 1995, Zeng Jingui and others organized the renovation, and the funds were donated by households. The temple is located in the southwest of the Northern Dynasty, with the main hall facing one room wide and the main hall entering alone. The building area is 88 square meters, 13.5 meters long and 6.5 meters wide. It covers an area of 800 square meters.

God worship

Mazu is a god of worship, mainly for emperor Zhusheng of Dongyue, and also for Sima Shengwang and the army of Lu Fu.

Major cultural relics

The couplet of Dongshan Palace's partial door: "the derbyshan mountain has been held high for thousands of years, and the God has shown the sea to save the people." In the couplet: "after the Union in heaven, the achievements of a thousand years, the mother known as the holy virtue, heavy boundless." "The temple stands on the green mountains, reveres the saints, lives in a blessed place, and protects the masses for thousands of years." The inscription on the front gate reads "Dongshan Palace", the inscription on the right reads "Meng Dongyang standing on the moon", and the inscription on the left reads "year after Guiyou"; the inscription on the front gate reads "protecting heaven and earth", the inscription on the right reads "Zeng Wenqing, Wenjin and Wenyu, disciples under the furnace", and the inscription on the left reads "Meng Xiali in the year of Taisui Dingmao".

Folk activities

Every year, on the 15th of the first lunar month, the Lantern Festival, Mazu travels around the country for blessing. Believers carry colorful flags, beat gongs and drums, and spin umbrellas. On March 23, Mazu's birthday is celebrated. The specific activities are held in the village, and the participants are the directors in charge of the management and the leaders of the village in turn every year. The number of participants depends on the scale of the activities, ranging from several hundred. There are 36 pots of seafood, five fruits and six vegetarian dishes, five soup and ten brocades, as well as various meat dishes.
