Jixi County Museum

Jixi museum is designed by Li Xinggang, a famous master of architectural design. The exhibition is organized by Professor Lu Jiansong of Fudan University. The exhibition hall is divided into seven parts: preface hall, Jishui Huishan, humanistic Jixi, Shangdao Jixi, Fengtu Jixi, Huiyun Jixi and Huiwei Jixi. The contents include majestic Huiling, murmuring Huixi, advocating culture and education, new learning pioneers, Huizhou merchants' hometown in Jixi, Huizhou camel Jixi cattle, flower Dynasty ancient meeting, swing Pavilion, Jixi three sculptures, Jixi famous chefs, Huizhou famous restaurant, etc.

Jixi County Museum

Jixi museum is a comprehensive museum of local history and culture which integrates academic, intellectual, cultural and entertainment. The museum site is located in the center of the old city. It was the former site of the old county government and also the site of the old county government. The building area is 10003 square meters, covering an area of 9520 square meters, of which the exhibition hall area is about 4200 square meters.

In February 2020, Jixi County Museum will be open to medical staff free of charge from the end of the epidemic to December 31, 2020.

Development history

Jixi County Museum started construction in 2010 and officially opened in November 2013. Its designer is Li Xinggang, deputy chief architect of China Architectural Design and Research Institute and an internationally famous master of architectural design. Li Xinggang is famous for his design of Anren ancient town, China's first museum Town, and his design of the National Stadium "bird's nest" for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Design

The design of Jixi museum is based on the understanding of the geographical environment of Jixi, the origin of the name of Jixi County, the performance characteristics of Hui style buildings and settlements, and the concept of integration with the surrounding mountain water system. It is the full deduction and vivid display of "the shape of Jixi River" that "there is a Ruxi River in the north of the county, which flows one mile parallel to Huixi River, and is separated and combined, just like Jiyan".

architectural composition

In order to preserve the original state of the existing trees in the site as much as possible (especially a 700 year old ancient locust tree in the northwest of the site), the overall architectural layout of Jixi Museum has set up a number of courtyards, patios and streets. It not only creates comfortable indoor and outdoor space environment, but also reinterprets the spatial layout of Huizhou architecture. It makes the architecture and courtyard itself the most intuitive exhibits, making visitors feel like they are in the ancient Huizhou town.

Exhibition composition

The exhibition of Jixi museum is mainly composed of six parts: the shape of landscape (Jishui Huishan Hall), the God of humanity (humanistic Jixi Hall), the spirit of business (Shangdao Jixi Hall), the wind of folk custom (Fengtu Jixi Hall), the charm of Art (Huiyun Jixi Hall), and the flavor of dishes (Huiwei Jixi Hall). It shows people the long natural landscape of Jixi from the outside to the inside The soul and the precipitation of history and culture. In addition, there is a temporary exhibition hall to carry out special display and temporary exhibition from time to time.

Collection

Jixi Museum has 12 screens of Zha Shi Biao Xingshu thatched cottage records, wood seal of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, Wu Changshuo's still reading book, Huang Binhong's wuzhutai Changming, Zhang ShanMa's Wanzhu Xiaoxiao misty rain, Hu Shi's series of letter couplets, as well as a large number of precious ancient Huizhou statues, ancient Huizhou contract documents, ancient Huizhou clan genealogy and ancient Huizhou brick, wood and stone carvings.

favoured policy

In February 2020, in order to pay tribute to the medical workers fighting against the epidemic, the scenic spot will be open to the medical staff free of charge from the date of the end of the epidemic to December 31, 2020. The national medical workers with valid certificates (doctor's card or nurse's card and their ID card) can enjoy free admission to the scenic spot.
