Five elements and eight trigrams cave

The lotus basin 120 meters south, there are five caves side by side on a layer of cliff, the diameter of the hole is about 1.5 meters, more than 10 meters deep, five holes in the cave are connected. It is called five elements eight trigrams cave. It is said that Shennong traveled all over Qianshan Mountain, tasted all kinds of medicine, dug five stone caves with a hoe, and put herbs in the cave.

In the Song Dynasty, the Neo Confucianist Shao Fuzi came to Guo Liang from Baiquan to play, and went up to the mountain to see the lotus basin. On the way, it rained heavily. When Shao Fuzi went into the cave to take shelter from the rain, he saw five holes of the same size. The holes were connected into one. He sighed the wonder of heaven and earth. He calmed down to deduce the fate of life with the book of changes, arranged the five elements of gold, wood, water, fire and earth, and named the five holes with gold, wood, water, fire and earth.
