Daonan building, built in the spring of 1962, is the latest one of the "Jiageng style" buildings in Jimei Middle School. It is a late masterpiece "Daonan" comes from the sentence "I Daonan" in the Analects of Confucius. In 2008, a large-scale renovation was carried out, the floor was changed to steel-concrete structure, and the wall was changed to steel shear structure. "Jiageng style" buildings use a large number of fine grained granite from southern Fujian, which is gorgeous in color.
