Zijin temple, Jiangzi County

It is said that zhigongzanpu, the seventh generation of Tubo monarch, built a palace here, which is called "shambozia" castle. It has a history of more than 2000 years. Later, master dububa (1292-1361), the founder of juenong sect of Tibetan Buddhism, came here in person. It is found that the mirage of Shambhala Temple appears in Zijin Mountain, and it is predicted that its high disciple Nevin gonggabei (1285-1379) will build a temple and preach here in the future. In 1904, during the second British invasion of Tibet, British troops occupied the back hill of Zijin temple. The British army in kashilam suddenly appeared in front of Zijin temple and launched an attack. At the same time, the British army in the back mountain also rushed down to Zijin temple. The British destroyed Zijin temple with heavy artillery fire.
