Kenanpo scenic spot

Kenanpo, formerly known as nanchunpo, was the place where the headquarters of the second world war zone and the Shanxi provincial government were stationed during the Anti Japanese war. It was also the military command center of the second world war zone and the political, economic and cultural center of Shanxi Province. Before he moved in, Yan Xishan changed his name to "Ke Nan Po" in order to avoid the homophony of "Nan Cun". During the Anti Japanese War, it was once called "little Taiyuan".

Because of the lateral erosion of the river acting on the bedrock between the soft and hard river bed, different forms of lateral erosion caves were formed; the uplift of the crust and the undercutting of the Yellow River also formed four river terraces and secondary gullies and waterfalls on both sides of the Yellow River, and formed deep valleys in the tributaries of the Yellow River, so it can be said that it was a natural barrier. Therefore, during the Anti Japanese War, it was an important military and political place.

At present, there are Yan mansion, Shigan hall, Tianbu room, criticism room, difficulty solving room, competition room, review room, truth room, Wanghe Pavilion, loyalty words and so on. In addition to the earth kiln caves all over the mountains, the important buildings are all built with dry stone, which is a unique architectural skill.
