Tongrenli

Tongrenli is located in Jixiang lane. There are 6 ancient buildings No. 8-13 in total. The buildings in tongrenli have towering walls, deep halls, stone gates, wooden door panels and tiger head copper rings. Standing in a corner of the modern city, these simple buildings maintain the style of residential buildings in Changsha at the end of the Qing Dynasty, and make people feel that they have suddenly entered the deep residence compound of Changsha one hundred years ago from the modern city. The most noteworthy ones are the three houses No. 8-10. They are one of the few houses that have not been damaged in the Wenxi fire in Changsha. They have not been rebuilt and remain the same as they were more than 100 years ago. Until now, there are still old people living here.

Tongrenli

Tongrenli is located in tongrenli, Jixiang lane, xuanyuandian community, Tongtai street, Kaifu District, Changsha City. It is 400 meters away from Huangxing North Road in the East and 50 meters away from Jixiang Lane in the south. The whole building faces south in the north. It is a two-story brick and wood structure. The plane is a rectangle with a narrow width from east to west and a wide width from south to north. It covers an area of 189.80 square meters.

Introduction to scenic spots

Founded in 1898, it was built by fan Jintang, a businessman from Hubei Province. It is part of the first western style hotel in Changsha. Huang Xing stayed in the hotel when he returned to Changsha in 1912. The Political Department of the third red army is located in tongrenli. In 1938, most of the buildings were destroyed by the "Wenxi fire", and only 5 buildings were left. After the "Wenxi fire", Li Shilin, a counsellor of Hunan provincial government, rebuilt a mansion on the ruins, which is now No. 13 in tongrenli, imitating the style of tongrenli mansion group. The structure of the mansion group is complete and well preserved. It is a rare place where the buildings of the Republic of China are concentrated in Changsha. It is the epitome of the prosperous scene of Changsha in the past. It is an important supplement to the historical and cultural city of Changsha. It is of great significance to study the residence buildings of the Republic of China.
