Shen Yuan

Shenyuan is located next to yingjiawan reservoir in Donggang, Putuo District, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. The archetype of Shen Qing is yuan Hongzhuang, the daughter of Yuan minister, Gucheng County, quanluonandao, South Korea. It is said that Hongzhuang donated his body to Hongfa temple in return for his blind father's upbringing. The monk XingKong sold Hongzhuang to Shen Guogong, a wealthy businessman in eastern Zhejiang who was engaged in business in Baiji, for his wife. After taking it to his hometown Shenjiamen, it was renamed Shenqing.

After Shen Qing came to China, although he lived a happy life, he still did not forget his blind father. In order to make her father see the light again, she asked people to make 569 statues of Guanyin and send them to Korea. Shen Qing's eternal story of "betraying oneself and being filial" has been praised by later generations.

Shenyuan takes "Hailu hall", "Xiaonv hall", "Guogong hall", "Shende jingshe", "qinglangxie", "chayuanxuan" and "Boya hall" as the main carriers to show the history of the friendly exchanges and cultural exchanges between the people of Putuo and Gucheng of South Korea. It is said that Shen Qing, the filial daughter of Jin Dynasty, married from Baiji (South Korea) to Putuo in Zhoushan in order to repay the kindness of her blind father. Now, a courtyard built according to Shen Qing's story has been completed in Putuo. Yesterday, the Shen Yuan, a symbol of the friendship between China's Putuo and South Korea's Gucheng Prefecture, was officially opened to the outside world in the presence of Chinese and South Korean people.
